When it comes to finding new customers, small business owners will try just about anything. They’ll run ads, optimize their websites, and take dozens of other steps to try to attract new buyers. That’s smart, of course, but too many of them miss an obvious opportunity – to partner with other related businesses and share their effort.
There are probably lots of other business owners, professionals, and companies in your area who already know many of the customers you are trying to reach. It’s only natural that some of them tried to leverage the relationship and increase their reach a bit. For example, think about how the services of a pet store and a veterinarian might go together, or an auto parts store and a local mechanic.
By marketing to one another’s customer base, both groups are able to grow their lists quickly, avoid spending a ton of money on marketing, and even build instant trust. After all, nothing makes you more credible than having someone else that your customer trusts vouch for your service and value.
If you haven’t tried promoting your business with another company or professional, see if you can afford some relationships and give it a shot – you might be surprised at how effective the results can be.
