When you meet with a business web designer or creative agency, you want their very best work. With time, money, and the future of your online marketing at stake, you can’t afford to get an “average” website, much less one that isn’t up to par.
But, if you really want your designer’s best work, you might have to help them out. How can you do that? The easiest way is to have one clear goal you can focus on and explain that to your design team from the outset.
For example, your biggest priority might be generating telephone calls from potential buyers who want to set an appointment with your sales team. Or, you could be trying to gather sales and new revenue directly from your website. Having visitors attend a trade show or take some other step wouldn’t be unusual, either. The point isn’t for us to tell you what your goal should be, but to ensure that you have one in mind when we design your site.
After that, you might have secondary or additional goals that factor in, but it’s a lot easier to build a site and streamline it for one main target than it is to try to accomplish a dozen things at once. Remember that when you meet with your design team, and you’ll stand a better chance of getting their very best work.
